/home1 Fileserver Issues

We are currently having issues with our /home1 fileserver putting itself into read-only mode. An attempt to fix it using fsck failed, and may have made things worse. We are exploring ways to recover gracefully, but at this point it looks like we will be spending the night rebuilding the server.
