Question: How do I setup my IMAP email account on an ANDROID device?
Add a Personal IMAP Account on Android
From a home screen, select Apps.

1. From a home screen, select Apps.
Usually located at the bottom when viewed in portrait or at the right in landscape.
2. From the Apps tab, select Settings.
3. Select Add account.
4. Select Email.
5. Select Others.
6. Enter the following information then select Next.
- Email address
- Password
7. If auto-configure is successful, skip to step 9. Otherwise, select IMAP account.
8. From the Incoming server settings screen, enter/select the following then select Next.
- Username
- Password
IMAP Server address: mail.kattare.com
Security type: SSL (Accept all certificates)
Port: 993
- Delete email from server
- Never
- When I delete from Inbox
1. From the Outgoing server settings screen, enter/select the following then select Next.
SMTP server: mail.kattare.com
Security type: TLS (Accept all certificates)
Port: 2525
Require sign-in: Enabled
(Ensure the appropriate Username and Password are entered.)
1. From the Account options screen, configure the following settings as appropriate then select Next.
Available options vary depending upon the type of account.
- Peak schedule / Off-peak schedule
- Never
- Every 15 minutes
- Every 30 minutes
- Every hour
Select Sync email to enable/disable.
Select Notify me when email arrives to enable/disable.
1. Enter the following information then select Next.
- Give this account a name (Optional)
- Your name (Displayed on outgoing messages)
1. Select Done with Accounts.
