We host from many different approaches, from WEBrick or Mod_Ruby on Dedicated Server accounts, to CGI and FastCGI dispatchers on Shared Hosting accounts. We have the tools and the knowhow to get just about anything running you need to properly support your RUBY application. |

an explosion in popularity for the RUBY platform, and for good reason. It had never been easier to build a web
application.Kattare supports Ruby on Rails in many different varieties. From the late beta's, to the stable releases, to the bleeding edge versions. If your application needs a specific version, chances are good that we have it available. (More on how later...) What is important is that you know that Kattare has become a refuge for many alienated Rails applications. As Rails has changed over the years, functions have been created and removed, and many, many applications depend on being able to run a certain version of Rails. People know that they can come to us when their host inevitably upgrades and breaks their running app. If you need help, we can even do most of the transition for you! | Create Your Own Ruby Environment | |
The Ruby Version Manager (RVM) is the magic behind the
curtain. Ruby is one of those languages that is very difficult to pin down, things just change so fast. But here it is,
RVM to the rescue!At Kattare, all of our shared hosting accounts and dedicated server accounts have access to RVM from the shell. This is an incredibly powerful feature! How so, you might ask? Well, with RVM you can run just about any version of Ruby you want, with just about any version of Rails you want, and with just about any versions of whatever supporting Gems you want. It's simply incredible... for the developer or for the upgrade refugee, nothing has ever been so flexible in being able to create the hosting environment you need to make sure your application operates to it's highest potential.
