New DNS Interface
|

There is a new DNS management interface in the Members
Section. It should be the first of many improvements
coming to the Members Section in the next few months.

File Server Outage This Morning
|
|
One of our 4 large file servers is down this morning.
It went down around 6:30 AM, PST. Based on how long
the drive scans usually take on a fresh startup, we
expect to be back up around 9 AM Pacific Time. (Noon
Eastern)

Webmail Troubles
|
|
Webmail was broken from last night @ 10 pm until this
morning around 10 am PST. A kernel patch on the
Kattare webservers caused an issue with the internal
IMAP authentication libraries. We've since reverted
the kernel patch.

Service Interruption This Morning: mail, www, ns1 (dns1)
|
|
We had some strange selective outages, followed by 3
brief 5 minute interruptions in service to
mail.kattare.com, www.kattare.com, and ns1.kattare.com
this morning around when the redundant network
connection between our load balancer and our core
switch started to mis-behave.

UPDATE -- UPS issue this morning
|
|
We are having an UPS issue this morning. About 30
servers are down. We are working on it...
UPDATE -- Our electrician confirmed the problem was a
bad circuit breaker. Repairs have been completed.

Partial Outage at DC2
|
|
We experienced a partial power outage at DC2 today.
One of our 100A breakers popped this morning. We
believe it was caused by a failing power supply in a
server on the circuit. We're working on bringing
everything back online, and expect to have everything
back up by around 11:15 AM PST.
