Wow! Since 1997 we've been chugging away, serving web page after
web page, hit after hit. It's been a smooth ride, we have great clients,
great staff, and hosting technology advances have kept things enjoyable.

Kattare employs state of the art methodology including a gigabit fiber
optic connection through PEAK, Inc
peered with many Tier 1 providers (and NWAX) in Portland, OR. For redundancy
we have a second independent datacenter peered with Verizon (prev. UUNet/MCI), Level 3, and AT&T over DS3 circuits.
Internally we use Cisco routers, Foundry FastIron/ServerIron switches, and
locally grown Bellevue PC
rackmount servers to ensure reliable network and server operations. Rest assured that with
Kattare, your web site will download quickly and reliably.

Spam, Virus Scanning & Greylisting

It's been recently reported that over 65% of email on the internet
is either a virus or spam. That's why Kattare implemented spam scanning
by SpamAssassin and virus scanning by Trend AntiVirus. Rejected messages are stored
temporarily in a separate folder so false positives can be easily fetched.
You can even control the score thresholds on a per email account basis!
In addition, Kattare recently added a feature called Greylisting that allows
you to turn on a slight delivery delay that will keep many spam messages
from passing through. It's never been easier to cut out unwanted emails.
