Software Patch Causes Sporadic Failures
We had a security patch go out last night for the glibc
libs on all of our servers. The patch changed the libs
enough that many daemons running on the servers had to
be restarted. It took us much of the night and until
about 9 AM PST to track down and restart the affected
daemons.
Please let us know if you have a dedicated server and
we have missed something. Typically restarting the
daemon providing the broken service is all it takes, so
we can get things taken care of in short order.
