Entourage 2008 for Mac OS X is downloading all my mail again!

Summary:

When logging in to check your Kattare POP3 mail account, Entourage starts downloading previously downloaded messages again.

This commonly happens when Entourage has a corrupted mail database file. Microsoft provides a tool called the Microsoft Database Utility that can verify and rebuild this database.

To use this tool, simply launch it from your /Applications/Microsoft Office 2008/Office folder.

As always, it is highly recommended that a backup be completed before rebuilding any database files.
